For our debut at Master Drawings New York, Clase Fine Art presents an exhibition centred on Nordic art, with a particular focus on 20th-century and contemporary Swedish artists. Their works on paper are shown in dialogue with a recently rediscovered 17th-century drawing by Bernardo Strozzi and select sheets by the French artist Gustave Doré, opening a conversation across periods, geographies and ways of drawing.
Established in 2006, Master Drawings New York (MDNY) is the premier art fair for exhibiting and celebrating exceptional works on paper in the United States. During the week of MDNY, an international selection of exhibitors showcase their highest quality artwork in more than two dozen galleries on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. MDNY's exhibiting galleries feature exceptional and rare works on paper from the 15th to the 21st centuries, as well as paintings, sculpture, and photography.
