Lucy Smallbone in Conversation with Jo Baring and Francesca Fiumano

British artist Lucy Smallbone with be joined by Jo Baring, curator, arts writer and advisor and Francesca Fiumano, gallery owner, to discuss her artistic practice, views on the contemporary art scene and her positioning within an ever changing creative sphere. 

 

Jo Baring is the Director of the Ingram Collection which works extensively with regional museums and galleries, and she runs the Ingram Collection's ‘Young Contemporary Talent’ programme which supports emerging artists. She was previously a Director of Christie’s UK and studied at Brasenose College, Oxford, and the Courtauld Institute of Art.

 

Francesca Fiumano has been working in the contemporary art market for almost 20 years. Opening her first gallery in 2001 at the age of 21 she has witnessed first hand the highs and lows of the shifting art world. Having studied Art History and gained an MA in Feminism and the Visual arts Francesca has continued to actively support female artists, with them forming an integral role in the gallery program.
